D’Anna Ewers - menant l’offensive en couverture de ce numéro, photographiée par David Sims et parée de l’esprit militaire du printemps-été 2017 – à Maria Grazia Chiuri, première femme à prendre la tête de la direction artistique de Dior, Elisabeth Badinter, Marina Abramovic ou Mélanie Laurent, c’est une armée de femmes fortes qui prend la tête de ce numéro. Une relève déjà assurée par Mathea Lucchini, la grande gagnante du concours Vogue Model 2017, qui relève ici le challenge et pose pour la première fois avec force dans les pages de Vogue Paris.

Covered by Anna Ewers, photographed by David Sims, the issue pays tribute to the magnetic personality of the beautiful Franca Sozzani, who passed away in December. Out January 24.

“We were putting the final touches to this issue when we heard that Franca Sozzani had died. The news was deeply sad and brutally sudden, Franca was an ideal editor-in-chief, a model in the industry, I can’t even remember what Vogue Italia was like before she took the reins more than 30 years ago. She understood that to leave a mark, influence fashion and turn a magazine into a reference title, you have to produce and publish striking images. That’s where her genius lay.” writes Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, in her February 2017 editorial. Anna Ewers leads a fashion offensive on the cover, shot by David Sims in Spring/Summer 2017 military style, with an army of women who are taking the lead in their respective industries inside including Maria Grazia Chiuri, the first female creative director at Dior, Elisabeth Badinter, Marina Abramovic and Mélanie Laurent. Joining them, is a younger woman making her mark: Vogue Model 2017 winner Mathea Lucchini steps up to feature in her first Vogue Paris fashion editorial.
