Emmanuelle Alt At Chanel

Very special thanks to Adelap for graciously sharing with us this striking photograph of Emmanuelle Alt outside of the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week last season. She also took the time to capture a unique black and white video of the surreality accompanying the show, as she says she went to "the heart of the thing, in the heart of the beast, in this whirlwind of movement, smells, jewelry, faces, photographers, furs, stars, sounds of life... a whirlwind!" For a sublime taste of life at Paris Fashion Week, visit Adelap's site to view the Chanel video and more photos.

Emmanuelle Alt At Paris Fashion Week

Thanks to Eveline Fashion-Diary we have this fun candid snapshot of Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt commencing her first Fashion Week in Paris as the woman in charge. Can someone fill me in on the baseball jacket that Emmanuelle is wearing? Visit Eveline's site for more of her fabulous photos celebrating the first day of Paris Fashion Week.

Emmanuelle Alt: Week-end

In 1993, Emmanuelle Alt joined the French teen magazine 20 Ans as fashion editor and worked for five years there before moving to Mixte in 1998. The editorial pictured here titled "Week-end" is an example of Emmanuelle's styling from this period in her life. It was shot by David Lasnet for the July 1997 issue of 20 Ans.

Emmanuelle Alt At Gucci

Not much to say but Emmanuelle Alt looks gorgeous representing the interests of Vogue Paris front row at Gucci so I had to share this photo with you. The fabulous jacket that Emmanuelle wears is from the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Looking fresh at Acne, too... La Alt personifies rock chic!

Emmanuelle Alt In Chic Report

The Daily Front Row caught up with Emmanuelle Alt for a moment during New York Fashion Week and shared their conversation via the Chic Report. Read on to learn how Emmanuelle enjoys spending her limited free time in Manhattan during Fashion Week:

DFR: Where do you eat when you are in New York City?
EA: I'm very boring in my taste. I've been going to the same restaurants forever in the city. I was at Cipriani uptown today for lunch. I had an artichoke salad and some spaghetti with tomato sauce. I'm really basic when it comes to food.

DFR: Where do you shop?
EA: In between shows I had time to go to Barneys and pick up two pairs of shoes. They're both Chloé. Nothing spectacular, but when you find a pair in your size and the color you want, you take them.

DFR: How are you getting around the city?
EA: I've had the same driver here for 10 years here in New York. His name is Sydney.

DFR: What will we never find in your suitcase?
EA: Probably a skirt, I never wear them. A skirt to the knee? You will never see me in that.

In case you missed it, The Daily Front Row also mentioned I Want To Be An Alt in the Chic Report on 18 February, merci beaucoup !
