When asked which objects she loves most in her house, Emmanuelle Alt declared that she treasured her collection of books above all. It has proven difficult to discover the exact titles in her library, with one of the few exceptions being Hugh Hefner's Playboy, a six volume box set published by Taschen which Emmanuelle mentioned in an interview with Vogue in September of 2011. This beautiful collector's set was produced in an extremely limited edition of only 1,500 copies, all signed by Monsieur Hefner.

The collection offers rare photographs from the golden years of Playboy with narrative by Hefner as well as a swatch from his infamous silk pajamas, all packaged in a Plexiglass case. Volume 1 of Hugh Hefner's Playboy covers the Pre-Playboy Years, Volume 2 spans the period 1955-1959, Volume 3 from 1960-1964, Volume 4 from 1965-1969, Volume 5 from 1970-1974, and Volume 6 from 1975-1979. All of the 312 covers from this 25 year period in the magazine's history are included in the collection, as well as the seminal first issue in its entirety.

Emmanuelle Alt is fortunate to be one of the 1,500 owners of this refined erotic treasure, clearly proving that she knows where to seek inspiration; I hope Hef influences her pages at Vogue Paris frequently.
